Other than spining the tires in the snow, how else can I determine if my 89 Pickup 22RE Deluxe 4 x 4 has posi or not?

jack up the rear end with 4x4 disengaged in neutral and turn one wheel. if they both spin at the same time and the same direction its posi. if it goes in the oposite direction its limited slip.

Are those the only choices I have? Limited Slip or Posi? The reason I ask is because I could have sworn only one tire in the rear was spining in wet weather the other day accelerating up a hill from a stop.

that is funny... posi is gm's term for limited slip, so if you have posi, you have a limited slip. Btw when turned opposite it is open, same is limited slip.
