Just wondering who has the highest mileage on their Corolla?

Original engines please. I know most folks here swap. And of course original engine in same car. Some of you might get all smart. :D

Our 1992 DX (ae92) is just nearing 210,000 miles. Originally bought with 185,000. This is the highest mileage car we've ever owned in our family so far.

Going on 186,000 on the 88 C-Rolla. Got it in January with 167,215, and I haven't driven it since Mid-April. Add that up and it comes to about 6,000 miles per month.

77 Datsun 280Z has 82,000 original miles on it, and my 89 240SX Nissan is going on 126,000.

I had heard something about that. It was an older lady who had like an early or mid 80's toyota, might have been late 70's, (I think it actually might have been a Camry, but I'm not sure) That had like 999,XXX on the odometer, and then Toyota gave her a brand new one for it. Supposedly the car was still running really well, too.

my 4afe had about 130,000 miles on it before the HG went (roughly 50,000 miles of not easy driving) and i decided the 4afe wasn't worth anything anymore

Interesting replies. I think our car is now in 3rd place :D

Now, how about: who has the most mileage on their Corolla--regardless of originality of engine and/or transmission? How many miles on original engine/tranny before rebuild?

Edit: Rebuilt or swapped engine, who now has the most mileage?

My Corolla has done 300,000km on two engines, 220 on the first before it blew up and 80 on the 20v.

our old '84 Datsun/Nissan Pulsar had 570,000km when we sold it two years ago though.

Although the most, percentage wise, was the Falcon my parents bought to replace the Pulsar. '01 car bought for the cops in Oct '00 sold in Oct '01 with 120,000km on the clock.

I'm at 344,000km's on my first motor, its still strong and I can go right up to 170km/h no problems... I had it at 205km/h a couple of years ago, haven't been that "spirited" lately. :) The motor is still very strong as I ran it mostly on the highway for the last 3yrs.

450,000km on original motor? Wow! On another forum, I heard of a diesel 300D similar to mine with 500,000+ MILES... and still running strong on original engine and transmission! Here's the thread:

Come to think of it, our family here own two reliable cars. 1992 Toyota Corolla DX and 1983 MBz 300D Turbo. Funny thing is mine (300D) has lower miles than the Rolla.

On a side note, how come I don't hear from the dieselers? I'm sure there are diesel Corollas out there. Congrats to the high milers out there! I wish there was a mileage badge award from Toyota similar to what MB has to their cars. I'm just about to get my first mileage badge with 1000 miles to go (155,000 mi ~ 250,000km)

of course the mb 300DT is realiable cuz its a diesel my neighbor's vw jetta diesel original engine got like 500,000+ km on it and still running strong... for a gasoline engine 450,000+ km is a lot of km...

Miles

My first corolla an 82 which I dogged went to 218,000 miles, was still running but needed ring job and had a oil leak so I replaced with another used engine and drove it to 258,000 miles. Drove it for 7 months with a tranny problem, tranny was so loud I couldn't hear the engine LOL. Retired it when I bought 83 rolla odometer broke at 149,000 miles and i drove it for about two years like that I'd estimate milage at 200,000 miles easily. The 86 has 186,000 miles and runs great doesn't uses oil, no leaks. I hope I get it to 300,000.
I heard of an 81 rolla that was traded in with 270,000 miles and was still being driven at 340,000 miles.
