Power Door Locks / Keyless Entry

I have a 2001 corolla and i seem to be having very unusual problem. I just installed an aftermarket keyless entry system in my car. After wiring everything up i sat there with the door open and clicked unlock and lock over and over and it worked just fine. So i close the door and walk away a little bit to test its range and it still locks just fine. Well when i go to unlock the doors it wont unlock. Remember though there isn't a bad connection because it worked over and over a minute before. Well i came to find out that its not an issue with the keyless entry system. If i sit in my car and close the doors and press the lock button on my door panel they will lock just fine. When i press unlock, nothing happens. If i put the key in and cycle it on and then back off the unlock button will now work. Also if i manually unlock the drivers door and then press the unlock button it will work. Why will it not work without doing any of these things?

Btw this isn't something that started only after installing the keyless entry it was just something that never posed a problem before since any time my doors were locked the only way i would ever open them was obviously with my key not with the power locks. Except for turning the key twice opens all the doors but if you think about it, that's only after you manually open the drivers lock with the key like i said i had to do with my hand when i was sitting in the car testing everything.

I've talked to the maker of the keyless entry system for over an hour and we couldn't figure out anything. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance.

Does it unlock all doors when you use the key to unlock the passengers door? If it does not, it sounds like the switch connected to the driver's lock cylinder if at fault.

Yes unlocking the passenger door with the key unlocks all doors
Ok, what about the lock/unlock button on the inside of the passenger's door? Does it work as it should?
