Hey fellas, my power steering belt is out of alignment. This is a new belt but the old one did the same thing. Can you guys tell me how to fix this? The power steering pump works fine. I got my hands on another pump and the small amount of in/out play its pulley had was exactly like my pump pulley.

Put a manual gearbox in it, hehe.

Got to be something not aligned properly on the pump mounts.

Power steering is not absolutely essential especially if no other accessories are driven by that belt.

Update: pulley not bent. Removed belt, loosened and then tightened power steering pump and bracket, installed new belt, had assistant “put his back into it” with pry bar to set tension. No more uneven wear or belt/pulley noise.
