I'm getting some drip down of power steering fluid. Of course it is hard to figure out exactly where it is coming from, but it may be leaking from the upper hose behind the engine. This hose runs from a sensor on the left side rear (facing the engine with the hood open) across the back of the engine near the fire wall and then down to the rack. The leak is at the sensor end, at least that is the side where the drip ends up on the floor. It is a very slight seepage type leak, the fluid level is barely affected and I've had the leak for at least one year. I'm not getting any noise and the steering works fine.
Is this the hose? What is the failure mode, a leaking gasket? Is replacement of the entire hose the only option?
