So I've been checking around and so far the best price I could find for 17 inch Michelin Defender LTX M/S was 813 installed, balanced and on the road but with no road hazard from Discount Tire of Kalamazoo. They were also willing to give me an additional $30 for my Yoko Open Country with 27K miles on them. With that and the $70 rebate, that brings it down to $713 for a set of 4 intalled and out the door. Is this a reasonable price?

Well Discount Tire matched the price at the Toyota dealer (buy 3 and get one free), as well as giving some credit for the 27K tires Toyo OEMs and the Michelin rebate. The out the door price and on the road price for the Defender LTX M/S including the rebate was $701. I think that is about as good a price as I could get.

I think it was like $180/tire +$15 install at discount tire for the LTX M/S, but that was the 19" a year ago. Not sure how they compare to the 17.

MICHELIN X LT A/S 245/65R17 107T from Costco. Price is $164 per tire, $752 for the package with installation, warranty and insurance.
