Hey guys, I figured that I would document this swap here to give some other people some inspiration or direction if they want a 3SGTE swap like this done. We at Prime are no stranger to the 3SGTE or Toyota's however this is our first camry that we've swapped. We've swapped Gen4 3SGTE's into many different platforms.

I'm starting out with 1991 Camry Alltrac automatic with a blown motor. First order of business was to find someone parting out a manual camry for the pedal set and shifter mechanism. Then we purchased a ST205 AWD transmission and cables.

Looks sharp! Can't wait until I get to do mine.

I would go ST215 (better engine management and intake, to be sure) but I am really keen on the underpinnings that come with an ST205 halfcut.

An off-the-shelf ST165/ST185 exhaust is very close to fitting on the SV25 chassis. It just needs 3" added to the midpipe and some work over the rear axle.

Its tough to fit a font-mount in there behind the bumper, but otherwise it is pretty much the same as a Celica swap...

Somebody will have lots of fun with this car when its done. :)

thanks for the compliments. The intercooler will be a custom sidemount where the battery is. I will have pics by the end of the week. I'm going to fab that up tomorrow. Good to know about the exhaust. That is the route I will go then. Adding some pipe to the center of the exhaust is no big deal.

I was able to fit a front mount in there with a JDM (vented) front bumper:

I took up the extra room in the midpipe with a cat:

Do you have functional A/C? I dont have room on the passenger side due to AC compressor. What brand radiator is that one that you have installed? Good to know about that exhaust. I mocked up a temporary catback exhaust system so I can pass emissions. Later on I will buy that OBX exhaust and mate it up with a Prime Gen4 downpipe.

Yeah, I still have the A/C (charged with R12!) - and cruise control. I wouldn't daily drive in Southern California without either.

Clearance from the A/C lines to the downpipe is a bit close. I bent the lower hose out of the way and have it wrapped with a heat reflective sleeve. It is quite a challenge to get the intercooler pipes around all those parts.

Oil filter remote mount and re-mounted cruise:

Intercooler pipe, driver/outlet side:

I used a rear outlet intercooler designed for an Eclipse:

The radiator is an ST20x Koyo. It (mostly) fits if you cut off the lower radiator mount points and use the front swaybar mounts as the mounts instead (drill some holes to fit the lower isolators).
