Hi All,

I have an issue with a P1155 01/01 code. Now I have searched the site and thought I had the answer and replaced the A/F sensor (before the cat.) Sensor 1 bank 1 which is on the right side of the engine when looking at it. All of this I believe is correct for a trouble code 1155 01/01 - please tell me if I am wrong.

Here is my problem, I clear the code and it comes back after starting in 25 sec. (check engine) I also attempted to clear the code by driving it a number of times in hopes of getting three cycles with no error. Now I did some trouble shooting. Here is what I did, maybe someone has an idea or to for me.

After driving for a while ( about 1/2 hour - car is at operating temp), I cleared the code and disconnected bank 2 sensor 1 (left side looking at engine). I start the car and in 25 sec (check engine) and get 1155 01/01. I connected the sensor and cleared the code.

I then disconnected Bank 1 sensor 1 and started and start the car. In 25 sec. I get an error. The error is 1135 01/02 and 1155 02/02. I clear the code and connect the sensor. I start again and get within 25 sec. 1155 01/01. I clear the code again.

I disconnect bank 1 sensor 2 and start the car - within 25 sec I get an error and get 1155 01/01. I reset this 3 times (erased code and restarted and get check engine) and get the same results 1155 01/01 - all time bank 1 sensor 2 unhooked.

After that I erased the code again and disconnect bank 2 sensor 2 and get 1155 01/01 in 25 sec. I reset and do this 2x more times with the same results - 1155 01/01.

I connect it all and erase code and within 25 sec I get 1155 01/01.

Anybody have any thoughts - should I replace bank 1 sensor 2, it seems as though this may be the problem???

Any other trouble shooting i could do?

The sensor i put in was BOSCH sensor I got from Advance Auto, could it be bad???

Thanks for any help.

Anyone? I hate to have to take this to the dealer and have them kill me on the price. I swapped out a second A/F sensor, it was a bosch, the parts store said sometimes they are defective, but could i have gotten two defective?

you did not get 2 defective sensors, what you are doing is wasting money that could have paid for diagnoses.

bite the bullet and take it in,enough pissin' around i think

my .02 cents
