Hi. I just installed some gauges in my 96 camry LE. After I finished installing, everything worked out fine. The needles moving and all. Then a couple hours later, I started my car and the needles don't move anymore except the temperature. So... I took out everything again and made sure everything was plugged in right. Then i tested it again and worked fine again. Couple hours later, it didn't work again. Can anyone tell me whats wrong with this? Thanks.

You should make sure that the needles arent snagging on the gauge face.

i also checked that a couple of times and its not snagging on the gauge face.

Are the gauges fully glued to the original face plates?
That's what happened to me, the gauges peeled off and hit the needle. Try using plastic cement that dries clear.. that's waht i used and it works like a charm =)

My speedo is beginning to snag now that temperatures are dropping. Once its above 65 degrees, it's smooth as silk.
First thing in the morning (low 50s) it snags at about 20.
Oh well, another weekend diy do over.

hehe its so weird. my gauges are fully glued on to the original face plates. and my gas gauge... i only have less than half the tank yet the needle went all the way up and never moved.
