That's not much information to go on. What did the smoke smell like, oil or burning rubber? If its burning rubber, you may have a slipping belt. If its oil or something else, someone's gotta look under the hood. I can only speculate at this point.
Nope, the electric radiator fan. It's suppose to cool down the car. Like the other person said, it is the only part of the engine that wouldl be running, even after you turn the car off.
