So i have a 99 camry and I'm going to do the trunk solenoid mod for my remote starter. One thing I would also prefer is the trunk lid to spring up as soon as the lock unlatches. Is there any adjustment or method to do this

Where the torsion bars go into the sidewall of the trunk, peel the carpeting back. The torsion bars go into slots in the sidewall behind the carpet. There are 3 slots. Move the torsion bars to the top slot to increase "springiness". Note that when you pull the torsion bar out of the slot, the trunk lid my drop, so you may want to prop it open while you do this. Also, you may want to wear gloves. The torsion bars have a fair amount of pressure on them and tend to want to go their own way. There are some sharp edges around there that you can cut yourself on while trying to wrestle it into the top hole :)

I just did this but it made no difference in the trunk. I want the trunk lid to litterally pop open as soon as you pop the lock. I think a lot of cars that have remote trunks have this feature. I guess I will requre some mod

I was looking and I can find any easy way to do it. Maybe putting a L braket inside the lock openning next to the bumper, the lock from the trunk lid has two legs coming down, one hits the light switch and the other one can be use for the spring. Or find a way to install some shocks on the trunk lid.

Good luck.

PD: Let us know if you do something..
