Hi!
I have a couple of questions that you hopefully won't mind answering for me

I am considering puchasing a new 04 4cyl camry le. I have a 99 camry that I love. I have read some poor reviews about the new camry's especially regarding quality and the DBW system. Are these things true? I am really looking for that toyata reliability that I love!
thanks.

I'm assuming DBW=Drive By Wire. Through your readings, I;m sure you've discovered that alot of ppl hate the delayed throttle response when they mash the pedal. Other than this annoyance, I haven't heard of any other problems.

Just remembered something...ppl have complained about the car lurching fwd while stopped at a red light. I'm not sure if this is attributed to the DBW though. Overall, there haven't been many complaints about the car. Good luck with your purchase.

OK I see, the DBW you have to get used to it, after the initial break in it gets better and you learn to drive with it, I don't have any delay anymore when I mash the pedal.

It did happen to me once during the first 1000 miles, I hit the gas pedal, engined reved up and nothing happened for a split second but then it took off. It hasn't happened since.
best way is to test drive and see for yourself
