95 2.2, I'm replacing the oil pump o-ring and seal and ready to install the new o-ring. Does the new o-ring get installed dry? Or do I lube it up with oil before installation? What is the best method to install the oil pump o-ring? I'm guessing a soft hammer or do I use a socket? What are the torque specs for the oil pump bolts?

The o-ring (spaghetti o-ring) is a static seal for the cover. I use white lithium grease to hold it in place while cover is installed.

Shaft seal can be driven in with appropriate size socket and hammer. Again use lithium grease to aid installation. Keep seal square when installing.

When I did my oil pump oring and shaft seal I used a light coat of a spray adhesive (3M Super 77 or similar) to keep the oring in place on the pump. The shaft seal pries out easily with a flat blade screwdriver and new one can be pressed in with your thumbs or an appropriate sized socket, pipe, etc. Lube the shaft seal up before you attempt to install it. Don't lube the oring. Download the FSM manual from **********s.com. All your torque spec will be in there.
