Someone is selling their 10 spoke Camry OE wheels from a 1993 model for $40 a pop. I have two questions.

1. Is the offset and shit the same from the 14" steel wheels the same as the 15" alloys? Are the offsets the same for all Camry wheels in the 3rd Gen?

2. If I buy these wheels, How do I correct the speedometer?

3. How much will the 15" wheels affect my gas mileage over the 14"?

1) I don't know what the offset is for the steelies, but the offset for the wheels you posted is 45mm. I have them on my '95 XLE.

2) You "correct your speedometer" by using the correct size tire for the 15" wheel. The 14" steelies use a 195/70/R14 tire. The 15" alloys need a 205/60/R15

3) Shouldn't affect your gas mileage noticeably.

There may be a marginal difference in gas mileage depending on weight and rolling resistance of your new set up.

Heavier wheels and tires have more rotational inertia and require more power to spin up. Larger wheels can also push the mass further away from the center increasing rotational inertia. Also consider th type of tire you are buying. Higher performance tires have higher rolling resistance and reduce mileage.

You were right the first time. To maintain the same overall diameter when going from 195/17-14 to 15s, the tire size should be 205/60-15. Those vehicles that came with 15s stock have 205/65-15 on them but they are larger diameter than 195/70-14.
Yes!!! I need to get my [email protected]# together. I thought that was right, but my stock 15s are 205/65/15s, so when ASG14 weighed in, I second guessed myself.

But when going from a 195/70/14 to a 15, a 205/60/15 keeps you the closest to the original diameter with the least impact on your speedo. That's my story and I'm stickin' to it this time.

Anybody want to change my mind again? HA HA :lol:
