Question for Flashmn - Intake on a 4AF

I'm very interested to know how you made an intake for your 4AF.

Did you run a 90 deg silicone hose off the carb and attach a pipe with a K&N filter?

Details please ;)

sweet.

What did you use to attach the pipe to the carb?
whats that small looking filter coming off the front of the carb?
one for the breather.. well its attached to the carb with the normal carb bolt.
Question: does that intake gives you good acceleration because i tried that and it wasn't realy effective for me. So i placed back on my intake pan and ran the intake to the front of the car. that is working perfect.

i hope you don't mind my butting in. but you could use a filter adapter from a 4K or 5K engine (not sure if its available where you are though).

here's how it looks like installed in a 2E engine... but we've done the same thing to AE92's with 4AF's back here.

hope this helps.

where do you think I had that done... ;P heck where do you think I imported my corolla from... ;)
Hey I was wondering where you could buy the stuff to do this and how long it took.
hardware store, depends on who's making and how skilled he is.
know you came from "around here" flashmn
Not really, I just lived there for 3 years.....
flashmn what is the cover that you have on the carb with the intake coming off of it
whats did you use to cover the carb the blue one on the carb
i would like to try that on my car i was just wouldering how it was done
better yet what did you use to make the whole think please let me know thanks:rolleyes:
its pipe, cut into sections and welded, then a hole matching the size of the carb was made on the otherside, so that it fits on like the stock airfilter box, then the tubing was run with the intake and then I painted it blue.
so its not a intake for a different model car you just made it yourself then put the filter on it;)
