I've noticed that my wife's 2002 rav4 (150k miles) doesn't have much take off when going down the road. I know the car isn't built for performance like that but compared to my 2004 Corolla this thing leaves a lot to be desired (and the Corolla isn't a speed demon). So my question is, do other Rav4 owners experience similar lack of power going down the road or is there something I could do to boost this up? From a complete stop it does fine but if I'm on the road and give it the beans it just doesn't rev up and take off like I feel it should.

Have you given your car a thorough cleaning recently? Things like cleaning the Throttle Body, MAF Sensor, Catalytic Converter, removing carbon deposits in your Motor Oil, Fuel Injectors, Induction Ports, Induction Valves, and Combustion Chambers. I've cleaned a variety of these and has significantly improved performance
