Hi everyone! Sorry if this is the wrong forum to post this question; I'm a ToyotaNation.com newbie and appreciate you all being patient with me. :)

I have a question regarding a small blurb on my invoice. It states: "DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES: The Seller hereby expressly disclaims all warranties either express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantibility or fitness for a particular purpose, and neither assumes nor authorizes any other person to assume for it any liability in connection with the sale of said products."

Can anyone tell me what this means?

I ask because last year, the service department told me I needed to pay $900 to repair the catalytic converter on my 2004 Toyota Rav 4. I opted not to since I couldn't afford it... well, it was only recently when I discovered that the part was still technically under warranty at the time of the service (I was at 77,500 miles, and the part is under warranty until 80,000 miles). So, I am now in the process of trying to get my catalytic converter fixed without having to pay for it and want to make sure I cover all of my bases before I proceed.

Any help would be much appreciated! Thank you so much.
