Stupid question: What is clutch start cancel?
Lets you start a truck with a manual transmission without pressing the clutch.

just don't forget to leave it in gear so you can crash your truck thru the garage wall or mangle the vehicle parked in front of you...but seriously, its purpose is for offroading maybe if your on a steep incline, or on a big obstacle so you can use the starter gear to go forward instead of rolling back. I use mine to start it when its snowing out and i need de-snow the truck etc.

This is kind of what I figured, but wasn't sure. Thanks for the answer.

This would be true if you had never driven a manual before.
Although the ability to turn it off while off-roading makes a lot of sense.

my tacoma was the only manual car I had with clutch start cancel. I looked like an ass at the dealership cuz I couldnt start the truck and told the dealer it was broken. With my rex you just get in, turn the key and go. I think anyone who starts the truck in gear by accident should learn before getting a manual.
