The company I work for is trading in my 2009 Tacoma for a new 2023. Before swapping vehicles, I'm wondering if I should keep the 2009 bed rail cleats. Here are my questions I'm hoping someone can answer.

1) Do the 2009 cleats work on the 2023 rails?
2) Does the 2023 come standard with the 4 bed cleats? (I'm getting a SR5 V6 Access Cab). I can't find a pdf brochure for the 2023 Tacoma to see the full specs, and on the website they list them as an accessory to add when you use the "build" option.

Thanks!

I've been able to carry forward a bunch of things from 2009 to 2018. The bed-rail accessories still fit (cleats and bed divider), as do the running boards and the bed step. I can't say for sure about 2023 but I can't see any reason for Toyota to have changed it in the middle of the same generation.

All of my previous Tacomas from 2009 forward came with a set of four bed cleats. I think once the dealer installed them, but otherwise they were in a bag in one of the storage compartments inside the truck. You can buy more as accessories. It's up to you how kind you want to be to the next owner of your 2009 and throw them in, although someone at the dealership may take them anyway. If you're in doubt, just keep them home or stick them in a bag somewhere until you see if your 2023 really comes with a new set.

I finally found a copy of the 2023 brochure for the Tacoma and it does list the cleats as being included standard across all trims.
"Deck rail system with four adjustable tie-down cleats and four fixed cargo bed tie-down points"
