Anybody know a trick to getting the inside of these plastic tanks clean?
Used lots of water, bottle brush, cleaning rags and shook the daylights out of it to rinse but it's not much better.
It's in great condition but getting tuff to see the coolant level .
When I had a shop available we used a water soluble boil out tank, days gone by. :(

Have you tried some cleaning solution and some nuts / washers / marbles / screws in there to help agitate it? Basically but all that in there and shake it.

I wasn't sure what was safe as far as cleaning solutions. Put a bunch of aquarium decorative "glass' beads of various sizes and used the tank as a mariachi. Had to stop and go get some Mexican food.

Can you not even see the level after removing cap and looking down into the tank?

I can see it by doing that but between it's age and mine seeing the level from outside the res. is sketchy at best.
The new one for the $30 bucks will be a nice touch to a complete cooling system flush and fresh coolant.

Save money, steal a wooden spoon from the kitchen. If have a spouse and she asks just say you broke it. (which is not really a lie LOL) Make two notches cold and hot from the outside, Stick spoon in and where it's wet is where it's at. :giggle:

Same line but a wider variety of kitchen utensils. Hooked up her handheld blender with a single bottle brush. Brush didn't survive the adventure.
