Is draining the coolant from the engine block necessary? what'll happen if i don't drain all the coolant b4 removing upper air intake chamber?

It's not neccesary... When removing the coolant bypass lines from the TB, just put a small container under it to catch what comes out..then just top it back up later when your done.

Which ones do you mean? The only drain cock I know of is on the radiator...

If you look at page CO-5, you'll see the sketches that point the location of all 3 drain cocks.
I'm having trouble locating the drain cocks on the engine block.
TBoy, there are 2 bolts on the engine block itself that are removed when draining coolant. There a PITA to get to!, so in most cases, you can leave them in when doing work.
