I'm looking for any information about upgrading my 2002 Corolla S to rear disc brakes. Is there a compatible donor car with rear disc that can be salvaged to privide the parts needed? Are there any other Toyota models that have compatible rear axle carriers that can be swapped out. I have unfortunately already invested money in new 4 lug rims and tires so converting to five lug is not an option at this time. I'm not building a race car just trying to make mine look nicer. Drums are not a very attractive site when looking at through nice new rims. If a cheaper alternative is available I would appreciate any help in finding.

btw, upgrading only for looks? You can always paint the drums black. People who upgrade want better braking power, not looks. Form follows function.

Thank you. I do want them to brake better. I just meant I'm not ready to spend thousands on big brake upgrades kit when I can pull the rear assemblies out of another model Corolla or compatible Toyota. Any help/info is still appreciated.

There are kits using the AE101 rear brakes. You can also use rear disc brakes from an AW11 MR2. You'll have to look up the specifics yourself though. There's too much information to post here.
