I'm not sure what you mean.

Mine had two slide bolts and two larger bolts holding the assembly to the hub. All one needed to do was take off both slide bolts, pull the caliper and the pads came right off. It looked like one would need to do the larger bolts to get the rotor off, though.

Rear Brakes

I am now working on my wife's rear breaks.... for the third time.
One side wasn't greased from the factory and froze at 50,000 miles.
her car is an AWD.
to take off the caliper remove the single bolt you mentioned and "swing" the caliper up. you may need to pry it somewhat. I tie it up with a coat hanger to the springs.
If you are changing the rotor you will have to take off the Bracket. two bolts for that.
If you are changing the calipers too you can just take off the bracket and caliper as an assembly with just the two bolts mentioned.
I was actually able to have a set of front rotors cut once.
I have found that the rears are "throw aways" and cannot be cut.
hope this helps.

rear caliper

The top is just a pin I saw a pic of a new caliper and you can see that it just slides on to the top held on by the lower bolt only. but it must be rusted on that's why it wont come off I will spray it down with pb blaster when i get home for work i hope I can get it off. I will post when i get some results tonight. thanks for responding.

I have a post from earlier this month where I had to replace BOTH rear calipers (aftermarket $75 apiece) because the pins were seized and the pads were not wearing evenly. I belive this issue also contributed to my rear wheel bearing failure not long after. I would address it before it damages more $$ parts! If you do get it loose (I tried even using a puller with no sucess). Replace the pins and lube with high temp quality greease EVERY brake job!!

I was able to get them off. I used pb blaster it took about a hour of taping and working back and forth but they came off . I put new pins and lubed them and they seem to be working . this was the first time I ever had to work with calipers that had one bolt and a pin. thanks for your posts they help.
