In the context of Keyless Entry:
When touching front passenger handle - the rear doors are unlocked, but when touching the front driver handle, the rear doors are not.

What gives ?
Is there a way to change this ?

thanks

This has kinda always been a thing. With the traditional key if you turned the driver door it only did the driver door then a second time unlocked the others, while the passenger door did all doors. It’s so if you’re getting into your car alone someone couldn’t just open one of your other doors in theory.

You can change it in this car. In the infotainment system go to the vehicle customization under smart key system there is an option named “Smart door unlocking” just change it from “driver door” to “all doors” and it’ll unlock all doors when you touch the driver door. There’s also an option to change that setting for the remote to the same operation.

As an alternative, after you touch the driver's door handle, hold it for a few extra seconds.

It should unlock the rest of the doors.

You can program it in the vehicle's settings. You'll need to do it through the infotainment unit. I have it programmed to have all four doors open when I reach behind the driver side door handle.
