With the vehicle on the ground and the automatic transmission in park should I be able to turn the rear driveshaft by hand?
If the answer is no what might be broken?

Did all of these issues happened at the same time? What is the mileage and condition of the truck? Starter struggling, like a weak battery? It will not start and rolls backwards down the hill. The starter does not sound right when trying to start it. It sounds like it struggling or not engaging all the way.
I don't have a clue where to start or what to do.
The only thing comes to mind for all these to happen at the same time is broken mounts for the drivetrain causing it to move out of alignment. It all happened at the same time. Now when I try to start it the starter does not sound right like its struggling being overloaded. Unfortunately I don't know much about transmissions or diffs except how to swap them which is what I'll do if I can determine what's bad. The fact that it won't start makes me lean towards the transmission but not sure what tests to run without the truck starting.
