Rear end 88 toyota

Block the front wheels
jack up the rear and and put jackstands under the frame but leave the jack under the rear axle
undo the 4 driveshaft bolts
remove the park brake cables
undo the brake line where the flexible rubber line joins the rear axle
undo (or cut off) the 4 U-bolts on the rear axle and it will drop onto the jack.
You could leave the wheels on so it's easier to move around.
