I'll be replacing both rear struts in the next couple of weeks.

Question: After rear strut replacement, is a re-alignment required or does the wheel geometry go back the way it was?

I recently got new new tires on all 4 corners and don't want them ruined.

Thx in advance for any responses.

Align it. You can usually get the camber pretty close just by marking the spindle, but toe (which will wear tires much faster) has to be right. Toe doesn't have to be too far out before you're wearing tires.
