Not such a good idea to do just the rear sway bar unless you want to massively increase the tendency to understeer.

Don't you mean oversteer?
well my car came stock with one i just broke the sway links trying to change the struts so i figured why not get a whole new sway bar kit if that would fit if not I was just gonna hook the stock one back up. I also dont just have the sway bar i have coilovers and strut bars.
The Hotchkis bars from the 98-02 will fit just fine--a little pricy, but very effective. Phat, you may be right, I can't find concrete information either way. At any rate, it's probably not too good of an idea to upgrade just one.
my car didnt come with the front one only the rear one which i find kinda odd since it shows that my car can have the front and rear, but i have yet to see one with both even on a corolla around me. i took a look at the hotchkis kit for the 98-02 doesnt look bad but your right alittle pricy is there any other companies that arent so pricy?
The DX Corolla had both front and rear stock. Hmm, I think horsepowerfreaks.com (local speed shop, but they don't do installs any more, just parts selling) has some listings, that's how I learned about the Hotchkis kit. Whiteline has a good bar as well, although they may be even more expensive and difficult to locate. Not a lot of US companies make stuff for this car beyond the universal parts and basic I/H/E stuff.
Hey, I have a whiteline 20mm sway bar up for grabs. please send msg or email [email protected] for pix if interested. This brand had discountinue making sway bar for 93-97 ae102 model corolla, i bought it few yrs back for about $300 usd shipped from Australia.

THx

Don't cheap out. You get what you pay for when it comes to suspension.
