Hey fellas, great thread!!! A wealth of information, well done :)

I am currently looking at a set of 17x8 (+45) & 17x9 (+38) for the Gen 5. Tyres are 235x45... should be good to fit you think?

I have a 2007 Camry Gen 6.

I want to put 235/45 on 18x8" rims with 50mm Offset

I will be using model 62511 rims from 2011 Nissan Maxima

I've been trying to do my own research and it sounds okay but I want a second opinion.

You'll want to get some hub centric rings. Nissans run larger hub bore (66.1) vs. Toyota (60.1)

And these tires

245/35r19

http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=Bridgestone&tireModel=Potenza+S-04+Pole+Position&partnum=435YR9S04PPXL&vehicleSearch=false&fromCompare1=yes

They wont rub will they? I'm also thinking about lowering the camry on h&r for now and slight camber on the rear wheels.

New tires soon for my 2010 Camry I4 SE

Hi Guys,

About to get some tires ( for my 2010 Camry I4 SE) in a week or so and wanted to see if anyone has this set up of 245/45/18 on 18x8.75 XXRs (+30 offset???) BC coilovers and fender roll.

Costco didn't want to order me the above tires but I don't see that there would be a problem with rubbing or any other issues. if anyone has any experience with this set up, your help would be appreciated.

I am going to a tire shop in a few days to get their suggestions as well.

Here some pics of my current set up Bridgestone Potenza RE970AS Pole Position 225/45/18 XXR530s 18x8.75:

So what specific size 18s do I want if I want them to align with the fenders? I am just doing +2 from my 16" steels so nothing special... I presume... My suspension will for sure stay stock or upgrade to quick struts.

I bought my wheels from http://www.elementwheels.com/?_vsrefdom=paidsearch&gclid=CLqkvfSl-cUCFQwXHwodypIAog

Just type in the year, make and model and it will show you a list of different rims that will fit. I personally like rotary forged rims. They are very strong and lightweight rims. The 19" i have now are lighter than the stock 17 i had. I believe stock rim was 23-25 + tire, my rims weight just 20.5 + tire. When your set you can ask online how the rim is casted and the weight. Low/slow cast rims are 2nd best.

Got my camry back from lending it to my mom for a few years. Deciding to mod her again. She is on eibach springs. Just picked up Evo X wheels today 18x8.5 +38 265/35/18. Plan on getting 245/45/18. She is a DD so nothing crazy planned
265 is pretty fat. No rubbing? and how's your mpg

225 will stretch a little on a 8.5 rim. I have 245 on a 8" rim. I rub because I lowered it about 3-3.5 inches. But only over bumps. I know "cking" has 275 on a 18" wheel and didn't rub. but im not sure about the width or offset. If it does you'll just need spacers.

Hello all,

First post and looking for advice.

I have a stock 2007 Camry Hybrid and came across a nice set of staggered wheels. However the rear rubs against the fender and the side of the tire on bumps, dips, and occasional trunk weight.

My setup

Front: 18x7.5 +30 - 225/45/18
Rear: 18x8 +33 - 245/45/18

I went to my local tire shop and was offered some 235/45/18 take offs for a decent price. Now, I don't want to risk paying for them and still experience rubbing. Should I just cough up the money and go with 225/45/18's?

Any advice would be appreciated!

Will 225/65/16 fit on my 2010 stock camry without rubbing? I'm looking at buying a set of rims that come with that size on them and id like to use those tires for a little before spending $700 on tires.

Installed 20x8.5 inch Velocity rims on my 2011 Avalon Limited. Tire size is 245/35/20 it's 35mm offset. I'm getting some rubbing when the car is loaded down and hit bumps or too quick off the line. Car is white and I'm getting white paint on the outer wall of the back tires. Will rolling the quarter panels prevent rubbing or is this a too aggressive fitment?
