Redline MT-90 review

I just put in my Redline MT-90 last weekend. I've driven about 115 miles with it and I think it's settled in. Here's my review of it. (Sorry if I'm copying you Piloter :D)

Value: 8/10
The last MT fluid I bought was Royal Purple Max Gear (AVOID IT!) and it cost just the same as the MT-90; $30 for 3 quarts. It's relatively the same price as other MT fluids, so the price is good.

Installation Difficulty: Easy
You could be a complete novice and not be able to screw this up. Open the fill plug, open the drain plug, let it drain, close the drain plug, fill it up, close the fill plug. Easy as that.

Overall: 9/10
This is a great product. The notchiness on 1st and 2nd gear are almost completely gone, it shifts smoother in 30 degree weather than Royal Purple in 50 degree weather, and the overall shifting experience is a lot more enjoyable. My only quibble with this was it drained very slowly into the transmission. That aside, I would recommend this to everyone with a manual trans that requires or prefers GL-4.

got a bottle in my garage waiting to be used :D
Redline makes great stuff, I use their power steering and transmission fluids in my car
i did a drain and refill with their Dex2 ATF (clearance sale, make room for Dex3) and its some great stuff. it never shifted better and 3 years later it still smells new.
I have some syncro problems on my transmission and my first gear is very hard to get in when it's cold outside. Does anyone had this problem and notticed a good difference with this kind of oil ? I changed my oil before the winter but it's kind of a cheap but I would not like to kill my tranny for 30$.

I had this same problem and while it didn't completely correct it, it made it a lot better. If you have a Corolla with a manual (which you do) this is one of the best fluids you can put in there. Ask anybody who has used it (94_rolla_guy for one) and they'll say it's amazing.
