Hey all. I could really use a little help if any of you have any experience with adding a remote start to a Taco.
Ok, so I installed the new Viper 7900 this weekend and I was wondering how the rest of you have bypassed the transponder. I'm using a Peripheral PKT2 simply because you don't need to hide a key in the truck. However, if I remote start the truck, the freaking security light on the dash flashes until I take the key out and restart it manually.
I've connected the green wire on the PKT2 to the Violet/White behind the light and it still doesn't work. It works if I don't open the door to get in the truck. So, if I get out of the truck, arm the alarm, remote start it, disarm the alarm, open the door, put the key in the ign., and step on the brake to deactive the remote start, THE FREAKING SECURITY LIGHT (UNDER THE RADIO) KEEPS FLASHING. If I do all the things above, except open the door after disarming the alarm, the light stops flaching once I put the key in the ignition.
Has anyone had any experience with this? Please HELP???!!!
Thanks
