I am having a VERY difficult time taking off the stupid dealer sticker of the back of my tailgate...I dont think there could possibly be harder substance in the world to remove...they should sell those stickers to NASA...any suggestions to get it off without ruining the paint. Debadging was cake....this is another story.

i hate when dealers do that. we don't do anything like that, just plate frames. it seems like such a joke to me when i see people driving around and their's a big badge with a dealership's logo on it on the tailgate or something. some people just must not care. that would be the first thing to go. i would ask them to remove it at the dealership before i even took delivery.

The very first day I bought it I worked at it for like 3 hours with my fingernails....but only got like 10% off....now it looks even worse. So everytime I walk by my tailgate I vomit and pick at it some more...running out of patience for the thing.

By the way I hate "Superstition Springs Toyota!"

Not really, just the sticker.

Ask them not to put it on.

I remember when my dad was buying his old Supra, he told the dealer that if they put a sticker on the car there was no deal and he'd get the car elsewhere... it had no sticker.

Can't you tell them to take it off?

I would be pissed if my dealer did that to my truck. I'd make them pay for advertisement space on my tailgate.
That's pretty much what I did. Told them to take $2000 off the price of the truck for advertising fees, or take the sticker off. They chose to take the sticker off.

I had them remove it before I signed the paperwork. I told them unless they were going to compensate me for advertising their name, to remove it off my truck. Salesman said no problem!

many years ago those dealer badges use to be chrome and they drilled two holes to mount them.
so if you took them off you had two holes to fix. well in calif a lawsuit was filed about the "free advertising" so now they just use license plate frames.

in was in colorado in the mid 70's and watched them detail my truck and the second the kid went for the drill i cautioned him about not doing it, he insisted and told him he would have to explain the loss of sale, so didn't get the badge !!

all you have to do is make sure the salesman knows that you will not accept it with a badge and you won't get one, don't wait till you drive off !

Hopefully since it's an order, it won't have them.

Don't hold your breath, I ordered my truck too, picked it up the day it arrived and they put one on. Took it off right in front of the sales guy and the owner, they asked me what I was doing and I told them they left a piece of S#%& on my truck and I was giving it back. :wink2: (I told them not to put one on) Came off real easy since it was fresh.
