The passenger side cv joint was bad on my 93 Corolla wagon so we replaced the shaft & now have a slight tranny fluid leak from where the shaft enters the tranny. I put it up on ramps the other day & sprayed everything down with brake cleaner then started it up & ran it for a few min & didn't see any leaks so thought I was good. Two days later I put it up again & it is leaking down & dripping off the tranny. Not a big leak, only had to put 3 oz to bring it back up but I don't like ANY leak & want it fixed. What type of seal is in there & how hard is it to replace & what if any special tools such as seal puller, etc. is needed to do this? I will be doing this with the neighbor & want to order whatever is necessary to do the seal so its here by the time we do it. It is the 4 speed auto trans & 7AFE 1.8L engine.

Thanks,
Steve

pull the axle and replace the axle seal, like you should have done the first time :p remember to lube the axle and seal well so when you put the axle in you dont tear the new seal.

you can use a flatblade screwdriver to pry the old seal out and a large socket to drive the new seal in. or you can probably rent the seal driver kit.
