That previous part only fits 1995-97. I'm not sure what the difference was in earlier years. For 1993 this might fit, but it's discontinued. It says it was on 1993-1996, so I'm not sure of the overlap between parts and years. Perhaps the lever in the front or back is different and if you replaced all the parts it would work. You may have to pull one from a junkyard.

Is 64607-02020 (discontinued) the correct part number?

As long as the braided cable and the hammer or ball can reach the latch and lever, it should be fine.

There’s a few parts that get reused between generations of corollas. The lengths are nearly identical. Handles will be different. Next time I go to the junkyard, I’ll see if there’s a 7,8, and 9 to compare the cable lengths.
