Hi, the seatbelt buckle on the driver's side of my 97 camry no longer works. I've found a replacement part for it but no one in my area replaces such things. My question is how difficult would it be to replace this myself? Is it a matter of unplugging the old belt buckle and plugging in the new onemail? Any guidance would be appreciated, I hate not having a working seatbelt.

Pretty much. You'll have to remove some trim if anything. I don't think there is anything special unless I'm missing something.

and locktite/thread locker on everything that you unscrewed and screwed back in.
if you had to remove your seat, its only 4 large bolts + clipping wiring harness if electrical seats.

I replaced both front seat belt storks on my Gen 4 a few months ago. After removing the console from the gear selector to the arm rest. With the console removed and seat set forward there is still not much room for a socket. I used an open ended spanner, I didn't have a ring spanner which would have made the job easier. Probably took 30 minutes all up to replace both.
