Get the +38.

The +50 might hit your suspension because the offset is too high.
I believe oem offset is +45 so your best bet would be listening to what PhatRoyale is saying and go with the lower offset. Any significant reason as to why you are going with a 16x7 wheel are you planning on doing auto-x with your car or something to that nature because when most people upgrade wheels they tend to go with 17's or 18's

well I like the ability to customize the wheel without dampening the vehicle's constant velocity by changing the dimensions of the wheel. Plus I currently have some heavy A$$ velocity 18" that I bought the car with and the are ugly all chrome, not my cup of tea.....

I think 16-17" wheels are the perfect size for this car. Although most often when going bigger you get more weight there are definitely some 17" wheels that are lighter than 16" wheels. So looking at an individual wheels weight is better than assuming a weight based on size.
