It's not necessarily the size of the rims that determines whether or not you're going to rub, but the overall diameter of the rims+tires. 205/40/17 has pretty much the exact same overall diameter as the factory wheels, so there should be no rubbing. Your 16s are probably equipped with fat tires. My 16s rubbed and made it a pain to drive anywhere.
Not to mention ugly as hell.They're not clean. They're all curbed up and stuff. I'd pass.
