I have two rockymounts as well and there's no comparison to the toyota mount. They are worlds better.

Nice I can't wait till next week when I pick up my new bike and get my other one back from being repaired. I'll have to snap a pic of the mounts in action. :clap:

so it's a consensus that these rocky mountains are laterally much stiffer than the toyota mounts? i have to tie my bike down so that it doesnt sway when cornering/driving over bumps, etc.. i dont want it to sway because i dont want to put undue forces on my fork..

No comparison! If you mount these correctly and tighten them down, they move no where! Great product! :clap:

I almost never use a mount on that back rail. I use the two side rails for everything. Even if I needed the back rail, there's still plenty of place to put one of those withouth removing them.
