i'm on my way to a 5SFTE for my Camry - home-made all way collecting a few parts right now, basically the ones i can halfway afford
as we speak the camry "Darth Maul" is getting his much deserved suspension upgrades new TRD Bilsteins & Eibach springs

the MR2 is unfortunately still N/A due to unemployment issues but i am doing body/suspension work on it now as well, but its going kinda slow, trying to locate struts with tabs on them for a RSB that fit an '89 isn't as easy as it sounds

if everything goes well hopefully the MR2 will be S/C'ed within a year, then Maul will follow the next year with turbo

Not trying to be an a$$, but this thread was meant for recruiting all the FI'd Camry's in this forum (SC or turbo).

Some guys here have an uninstalled turbo system, while some are collecting pieces of it. I am just wondering if you actually posted in the wrong thread because I don't see any turbo parts in your sig, nor anything related to a turbo/SC build-up.

no, my mistake. i took "FI'd" up as "fixed up" instead of "force inductioned."

though, if anything, retro-ing the s/c has been on my mind for while.

CT-26 off of a 89' 7mgte owner that's intended to be on my gen3.5 1mzfe. As you can see, the entire turbo assembly is dismantled because there was a bad bearing on the shaft and needed replacements as well as multiple seals and gaskets and was missing an oil feed and return line. So while disassembled, a friend encouraged that I get it heat treated. So I took it to get a nice ceramic thermal heat coating about 1.5 weeks ago. No short-cuts on the housing or elbows either because its all ceramic heat treated inside and out. At this point its all sitting in my room awaiting a rebuild after I strap some more cash because I'm broke after joining with the D2 coilover groupbuy. This is as far as I have gotten and I still need to gather much more parts towards my FI project. I'm trying to take this step by step for now since money is an issue. Next on the list is to get my hands on a set of 1jzge injectors along with a walboro 255lph pump and an adjustable fuel regulator. Then replace the stock actuator with an external tial 38mm wastegate. After that I'll see what I stock up with because money comes into play real quick.

You better hope the place you sent it too... Used the high quality jet coat... Because I've seen what a turbo can do to heat coatings and they start chipping and cranking... And you know where that'll end up at ... Find out what the operating temperature of the coating is and the how do they re-act to pressure ... Because as pressure goes up; temperature ratings go down...

Went up to 7psi shortly after I got all the fuel upgrades. It has been going fine. You probably do know what im going to get, I likely mentioned it at the last meet...but SHHH

I took it to a very highly reputable local shop http://www.bdjsracing.com/ . These guys are well known for their FI work and reputable on the srtforums.com and they weld for Powerhouse Racing http://www.powerhouseracing.com/ which I'm sure your familiar with what they're known for. The ceramic coating process was plasma sprayed with a zircon base and was told it would hold temptures of up to 2100 F. However I'm not sure about the pressure issue because I wasnt aware of that til you mentioned it. None the less I'll ask have to ask. Thanks for the tip.

Glok: Whatever happened to your blower? I don't recall ever reading any sort of horror stories.

Somehow the blower got chewed up, either by overheating or by ingesting something when i blew the motor. I noticed that i wasnt getting the full 7 psi and took the blower apart to see what was going on. Instead of spending over $900 to get it fixed through magnuson ive been thinking of going turbo. I just got to get the exterior up to par first.

hey xtychx how much power do you think you are making at 7psi and with all those mods? Stock figures at 4psi with everythin else stock is around 70 extra horses at the flywheel, what do you think u are at? Also do you know ur 1/4 mile time or 0-60 times? Im still trying to decide wether to go turbo or supercharger, thanks!

the only true way of doing a ceramic coating for any turbo is really too expensive... It has to be done under halon...

My 5s-fe is almost there t25...manifold,flanges, 1g bov, 2g sidemount intercooler, gauges(boost, A/F) soon to have injectors (360 is what i am going for!) and S-AFC soon too

I have a MKIII FMIC and a CT-26H Turbo, Need to find a good exhaust shop though... this will be a temp setup will Sportivo is done with thier TT Kit... then I will be buying that
