is it good to shift at 5500 or 6 grand when i want to race around a bit my car has a few oil leaks an 157000 miles on it? lol

the motor was built to hold 7000 so what makes you think it is going to hurt it to take it there, sure yeah if you do it with no load/ over and over and over again 4 million times a day like me then yeah it might hurt it.
You may want to look into replacing the clutch and rebuilding the engine soon. Driving like that doesn't hurt the car, but it will cause failure quicker if the mechanics aren't 100% to start.

There is hardly a day pass by that my 4e doesn't hit the 7300 rpm redline set by the good people at Toyota. 140,000 miles and running strong.

Yeah, the redline on my 96 is much lower than my 92 with the 5efhe in it...
