Hey everyone. I bought a 1995 4Runner and it has 327,000 miles. I got it way cheap so I’m not worried about the price I paid. It has an engine light and it says code 26 which is air/fuel too rich. I went to go change my spark plugs and they had white tips. I know too lean of a mixture can cause that, but I have a rich mixture. Then when I went to take it off-roading a bit like I normally do to test things, I should have just been able to put it in second gear in 4 high and it should have cruised up the hill like it normally does, but instead, I just lost rpms until I had to switch to first again and get speed and switch to second to get the same results. Anyone got a tip or an idea of what to check? I get my new oxygen sensor today and I’ll be working on that, but it normally performs well off-road.
