Right now I have one of those cigarrette lighter adapters that makes one outlet into four. It is plugged into my cigarette lighter. What I would like to know is: Can I run the wire behind my dash and connect it somewhere behind the cigarette adapter? that way I don't have to see the wire but it still gets power. any way to do this?

either do what he says ^ or you can just splice the wire that goes to the cigarette adaptor and run the wire to somewhere else- it should be okay because the cigarette adaptor is fused already

i think i'll try splicing the wire from the back - when i took it out i noticed theres wires running to the back of the cig lighter and another wire going to the side of it - it looks like the wires on the side are running to that light with the green condom. I'm going to try it right now and i'll let yall know how it went.

This is what I decided to do today...If the last post were online before I went ahead, I think I would have tried that - I would love to have my cigarette lighter back, but I can always go back and solder the wires. what i did was cut the wires going to the lighter, spliced, and connected to a switch for all my neons. Works like a charm.

Also wire rummaging thru my glove box (where I keep my adapters and some extra wire for my lights and radar detector) I noticed a panel that leads behind the dash. Re-ran the wires so they are completely invisible from view. All in all, everything worked well!
