I am not familiar with all the numbers so bear with, but if the s51 is the tranny for the 5s motor, it wont work. They use different axles and you will need to replace the wheel hubs as well, or find someone who machines axles that fit the 3s tranny and 5s wheel hubs. I needed to do this on my swap, was about 550$(at the time) from CRWs. Idk if they still sell those.

Also, dont forget there are not many MR2s left out there so we are a small community, so immediate responses arnt common. Welcome to the community! If there is anything else you need to know ask away, I personally went through a swap from 5s 91 mr2 to 2nd gen 3s.

S54 trans is what you have in your car currently. They bolt up just fine. To use it on your 3SGTE you will need the following: 3SGTE Flywheel, 3SGTE Pressure Plate and a 5SFE Friction Disc. Beware that the 5SFE clutch disc does NOT have the same surface area as the 3SGTE flywheel and pressure plate so it won't hold as much power. I suggest getting a 3SGTE clutch disc resplined to fit the S54 transmission input shaft.

The 5S a/c compressor and alternator will bolt onto the 3S but you will need the 3S alternator bracket and a/c brackets and tensioners and pulleys. You will also need the 3S passenger side mount. You keep the transmission mounts but either replace the front and back one with Speed Source full urethane mounts or the Kirkasaurus urethane inserts.
