CVT fluid is a high friction fluid that is why they get so dirty quickly. If u don’t change it often enough, that dirty fluid will room around your system soon enough.

Here is the link where I changed my daughters corolla cvt fluid at 110K miles. The debris on the magnets looks similar, just a bit less. At the time I thought the magnets had a bit more capacity left, but felt changing it at 100K (110K) would be a good recommendation
The fluid color was darker than new fluid, but still had the red tinge.
Dust in the sump and coating the filter is similar to what I've seen in regular auto transmissions.

Now 160,665miles
Glad to say, after a few mornings of shifting into Reserve 1st thing in the mornings. I don’t get the scary hard shifting anymore.
Transmission fluid changes are a must at 100k miles. Then 30k or 60k intervals.

Now am I able to achieve a smooth idle on D gear at a stop light as if the car was new?
