Your thoughts please? Penske cleared me (several times) to haul my 1991 XtraCab Deluxe on their "car hauler" (4-wheels up). Penske stated max. wheelbase = 125-in. Mine is 121-in.

Dry Run today: Drove 1991 up onto their car hauler. All 4-tires fit onto flatbed. But, 1991's rear end extends 3-feet beyond the trailer's end (car hauler). Is this safe? What issues I should know about? Will make valiant attempt to travel "Daylight only." Driving 26-ft. Penske Rental Truck pulling 1991 aboard car hauler = large rig.

Thanks kindly for your input.

If it's on all four and secure the overhang is legal. I'd suggest a red safety flag on the rear corners.
And I'm sure you've donee the math and don't plan on putting a bunch of stuff in the bed. Double check everything and take your time.
"According to the United States Department of Transportation's Federal Size Regulations law, cargo can overhang a vehicle in the front by 3 feet, on the side by 4 inches and in the rear by 4 feet. Dec 9, 2018"

sdspeed Hey, thanks again for weighing in!
Actually, planning to haul 2004 Vino in 1991's bed, upright, tied down by 4-ratchet straps. VINO wet weight: 240-lb. Car hauler capacity: possibly 5,000-lb. Any safety concerns hauling scooter in 1991's bed, on car hauler towed by 26-ft. Penske V-10 (engine) truck?

You're a mighty help as I prepare for this move.

Add up the weight of the truck and contents and compare it to what Penske allows. I doubt it will be an issue.
Quick look states 4,050 lbs. on the car trailer. Again, quick look, your truck appears to be about 3,100 lbs.
No fuel. So, 3,400 lbs. with the Vino in the bed, give or take!
Ya don't want anything up high either that might catch a gust of wind from the side, you don't want the tail wagging the dog.
