I think she's totaled.

Some 17 year-old decided to change lanes while I was in the adjacent lane.

I was going fast enough that it ruined my wheel, my tire, and wheel bearing. I'm riding on a full size spare until I get an estimate and a check.

It was her fault, though. I wasn't mad or anything, it's no big deal and it happens to everyone. I hope she's OK, but I'm sure she feels terrible.

Oh yeah.. She had a 2000 Honda Accord - hardly anything wrong with her car.

Here's a pic. The door doesn't operate very well on that side.

Over all - not a lot of damage, needs some body work, wheel bearing and a tire/rim. But I still think the insurance will total my girl out because of the miles (210K), some rust, and the sun cracked dash.

Theyll prolly fix it. To total a car out the cost of repairs has to reach like 75%-80% or more of the KBB value of the car. Doesnt look like it will go over that.

dont let them total the car out! buy a new corner light, rim, tire and bearing (are you sure the bearing is bad?) and pocket the rest of the money.
