Finally Sea Foam engine decarbonizer products are available in Canada through Carquest and UAP/NAPA auto parts stores.Well I pickup up two cans of Sea Foam engine engine treatment (473 ml) part # SF16 C=$12+tx each and one can of Sea Foam Deep Creep (340g) part # DC14 C=$13+tx each (deep penetrating lube & throttle body/AFM cleaner safe on O2 sensor & TPS).

I asked the UAP/NAPA front counter person about using them and I was not confident with his knowledge on using this product so I emailed Sea Foam Sale Company:

http://www.seafoamsales.com

and haven't heard back yet.My questions to you all are:

1)Should I pour Sea Foam engine treatment in the throttle body (should I park at ground level or incline?) or through the PCV valve or brake booster vacuum line?.Reason I ask it says "if vehicle is port injected",is the 22R-E port injected?.When restarting 5 minutes later should I let it idle or rev the RPMs?.

2)When pouring 1/3 to 1/2 of can into the engine oil (as stated on their website) should I do this just before an oil change? or can I do it now even though I still have about 3000 KM before next oil change?.

3)How much gasoline should be in a 65 liter gas tank when pouring 1/3 to 1 full can of Sea Foam engine treatment?.

The vehicle in question is 1995 Toyota 4-Runner,4 cylinder EFI (22R-E engine),with 65 liter gas task,4 liter engine oil pan, with about 225 000 KM.It takes many turns of engine cranking before starting cold, she idles rough, misses on the highway specially under load.

1. I've always run it through a vacuum line. The brake booster line is usually easiest to use.

2. Do it just before an oil change. It will dislodge a lot of gunk in the motor and you don't want it hanging about in your oil or oil filter.

3. The can should tell you how to mix it. You won't be able to mix too much Seafoam in unless you pour several bottles into one tank.

Buy 2 cans of seafoam.
Use 1/3-1/2 can in your crankcase right before you get your oil changed, measure another 1/3 and let it get sucked your brake booster line into the engine, shut your engine off and let it sit for about ten minutes and restart and let it run for another 10-15 minutes, then drive it someplace that you know you can get through the RPM range of first and second gear so you can run all the seafoam through. Buy a second can and put it in your gas tank. :)

Park somewhere where a GIANT HUGE GINORMOUS BLACK CLOUD won't piss off your neighbors.

Start engine.

Pull off brake vacuum line.

Let about 1/3-1/2 bottle get sucked in. You have to do this slowly, as it will kill the engine. When you get towards 1/3-1/2 bottle, let it run in a little faster so it kills the engine.

Reconnect vacuum line.

Wait at least (but not much more than) 10 minutes to restart. Too short a time period will cause damage to the engine (or so I've read and been told) too long and the carbon will re-harden.

Restart vehicle. Vehicle may not start the first time, this is ok. It may also start but die right away.

Once running, hold the throttle at 2-3K rpm. While holding throttle, watch giant smoke show. Make sure your tailpipe direction is WITH the wind

Once smoke has somewhat cleared take it out on the freeway and romp on it to clear out the rest.

I usually drive it for a day, then change the oil.

I've never used it in my crankcase, just top end with a fuel injection cleaner in the tank. At 110K it's kept my Silverado running smooth. I think I'm going to try it in the corolla this summer.

*Have you also tried a tune up? Cap, plugs, rotor, etc?

Welcome :D

Also, forgot to add, if you accidentally stall the vehicle before you get all the seafoam in, DO NOT RESTART IT for the 10 minutes.

I actually usually run it through my truck twice (1/2 bottle each time) but my truck is a V-8 (and also because the 5.3 is known for carbon build up.)

Also, check for vacuum leaks!
