I was at the dealship today for my oil change and asked them to fix my drivers side seat belt buckle. It will not hold the clip. When I picked up the truck they said they would have to order a new buckle and that the repair would be "around" 150 plus tax and that they would need to order the part. I asked how much the part is and the service advisor said it would probably be about 50 dollars. Is this an easy fix? Should I order the part from the dealer or is there someplace online that I can order it an repair it myself?

BTW..........I would do it myself. If you can't get it yourself. Take it to a local mechanic and save some $$$$$.

you should be able to save yourself anywhere from $60-100 bucks.

when you say buckle do you mean the shoulder part or the part that the shoulder part hooks into? i.e. Male or female part?

The part the click locks into.Female part,not the part with the strap.

What? I was under the impression that since seat belts are a federally mandated safety device that they were required to warranty ALL seat belt repairs no matter the age of the vehicle!
