Even though this is really late, I finally got my camera back from repair, so I can put up the install pics now

Center console area

Now grab the pillars and pull out

Open the cupholder and pull at the corner shown. Pull straight up.

Set the plastic so the bulb is exposed.

Twist the black base (with a plier if needed) and take the bulb out...

Install everything in the reverse order and you should be set. enjoy :) and sorry again for the lateness.

Thanks for the instruction pics, Netforcer.:)

I think another challenge would be to modify the brake light LEDS.
I really don't care for how spaced apart the LEDS are.
I am curious if it would be possible to drill additional holes in the housing and adding more LEDS to it.?.?.

Any suggestions?

When I checked out my shifter console light, it had a green colored sleeeve over the bulb. Is this consistent with everyone else?

Yes, mine did too.
The replacement LEDs are brighter than the bulb if you pulled the sleeve off though.

I am happy with the minor change it makes having the white LED.

you know, I consider myself a pretty smart individual, but for the life of me, I can't understand that SuperbrightLEDs.com website! lol.

What section do you find the T1.5 instrument LED bulbs? Or better yet, will someone post a direct link?! thanks :)

forget it... I found it. Its not organized very well... lol... where is the search box so I can type in #74, or "instrument LEDS". Maybe its just me, but how am I suppose to know that it would be under miniature wedge based LEDS? geez :wtf:

**EDIT**
Lemme guess.. before everyone points it out to me... everyone else knew about the Sylvania website that lists all the different lighting applications for the Camry right? I'm learning!

netforcer...I would like to thank you for the pics you put up. Because of you, I went and switched out all the bulbs (minus the glove compartment and trunk). I got the white LEDs and they look awesome! The only thing I saw was that the dome light was a little dim. I read that you suggested the next size up (6 or 9 leds) and I did that. Its still kind of dim but it looks sweet!

Which LED is right for the map lights and door lights :

WLED 6-LED bulb
12 VDC 6-LED Wedge Base bulb (194/168 type)
Non Polarized
$ 2.79

or

T13 Wedge Base LED bulb

measure 1 1/8 long by 1/2 inch maximum diameter (194/168 type)

Is this the correct shifter LED?

Flat tipped LED produces wide beam angle
$ 1.19
