Has anyone gotten these light bulbs before?

http://www.xenonmods.com/9006xenoninfo.htm

From comparision these light bulbs are slightly brighter then the silverstars and silverstars almost cost about double. i went to my local wal-mart thinking the bulbs would be like 12-13 USD but i found a pair for 38$. These xenon are about 18$. Now i know silverstars are more of a brand name type thing and chances are that the silverstars would last me up to a year or so. Going with other brand i think i might loose out on the quality but these are cheaper and slightly brighter. What do you guys think?

ummm... well, these are 80 watt.... on my 97's, i belive it's supposed to be either 55 or 65 watt, and silverstars are bright, and manage to keep that wattage. if you want these bulbs, you run a risk of burning your wires. i'd reccomend the silverstars, otherwise, if you want these, get insulator protectors (about $5 at your local auto store) and they will help insulate the extra heat produced by these bulbs to help protect your wires.... but you could still burn them

are you serious? Because i'm more then happy to take you up on the offer and throw in some money for your time and return shipping.

the thing that i dont really have time to do is modding the bulbs w/o touching them. That just seems like too much effort.

heheheh, I just run my silverstars standard.

Reasoning is. if you can tell the diff, so can Joe Officer.

And I have an aversion to being embarassed by having conversations about my lighting habits by the side of the road.

If you do go with the Silverstars ( I really like them), dont forget the side marker lights etc, cause they look really puke with the standard yellowish bulbs. Car looks sooo much better.

by side marker lights i assume you mean the turning signals right?

if by that then i have a question. When you change the housing on those to clear do you also need to change the bulb or is the bulb clear as well.

do you really need to ask that? just inside the corner lamps.... the bulb is amber. so to answer your questions, yes, you should change those bulbs, cause otherwise it'd look fugly. you can get silverstars...or there are cheaper ones out there too.

It seems like you are playing with fire (pun intended) if you are trying to boost your already boosted headlights output.

The stock SilverStars are fine, and I really don't think I would want to keep pushing.
